Announcing the 2016 Fall Conference Agenda!

Next week, we will mark the last official day of summer, which means it is time to turn our focus to the Coalition’s Excellence in Partnership (EIP) Celebration & Fall Training Conference!  Both events will be held at The Westin Tysons Corner in Falls Church, VA, with the EIP Celebration taking place from 6:00pm – 10:00pm on November 16, and the Fall Training Conference running from 8:00am – 6:00pm on November 17.  Early bird registration discounts are available for both events until October 3!

17th Annual Excellence in Partnership Celebration

Once again, the Celebration Dinner will honor federal and contractor organizations, individuals, and acquisition officials who have made significant contributions in promoting common sense, best value acquisition strategies and outcomes that utilize multiple award contracting vehicles and support the evolving mission needs of government. Nominations for these recognition awards will be accepted until October 14.  The evening also will reprise a silent auction to support the Coalition’s endowment for veterans enrolled in George Washington University’s Law School or Master’s Degree program in government contracting.  Our Title Sponsor for the event is General Dynamics Information Technology, whose generosity in this worthwhile endeavor is recognized with sincere appreciation!

Fall Training Conference

This year’s Fall Training Conference theme is The 45th President’s Acquisition Agenda: What It Means To Your Business.  The presidential election will have just concluded, and it will be critical to evaluate what lies ahead.  We have a robust draft agenda that includes speakers who are key decision makers in government and numerous industry experts who will participate as keynotes, panelists, and breakout presenters.

This year, we have invited Senator Mark Warner to be our morning keynote speaker.  We are also very excited to have Steve Schooner, Professor and Co-Director of the Government Procurement Law Program at George Washington University Law School, as our luncheon speaker.  The conference will bring the latest insights on key government policies, procedures, and programs—information vital to success in navigating the evolving federal procurement market place.   It also will feature a unique panel, Acquisition Policy:  If I Knew Then What I Know Now, featuring insights from key players over the course of modern acquisition reform.   The invited speakers appear for this special presentation below:
