2018 – A Busy Year for Federal Procurement

We are just starting the third month of calendar year 2018 and the sixth month of fiscal year 2018, and, no matter which calendar you are following, this year is shaping up to be a significant one for Federal procurement! Since October, we saw several important milestones, including the confirmation of Emily Murphy as the Administrator of General Services, the public meeting on e-Commerce platforms hosted by GSA and OMB, and a Congressional Hearing on the VA’s Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor Program. In addition, we have witnessed a whirlwind of other procurement policy activity.  Below is a sampling of ongoing issues that the Coalition for Government Procurement is addressing on behalf of its members.

The Coalition will continue to monitor these topics, among others, and keep members up to date. One particular issue that the Coalition is watching closely now who the Administration will nominate as the next Administrator of Federal Procurement Policy.
