Get Your Swing Ready: The 6th Annual Joseph P. Caggiano Memorial Golf Tournament is Nearly Here!

With only five weeks until The Joseph P. Caggiano Memorial Golf Tournament, it is time again for Coalition members to loosen up their swing and coordinate their outfits. The 6th Annual Tournament, featuring the second annual best dressed competition, will take place on August 22nd at the beautiful Whiskey Creek Golf Club in Ijamsville, MD.

As you may remember, the charity tournament honors our late friend and colleague Joe Caggiano, whose career in the government marketplace spanned 25 years. His service included seven years as COO of the Washington Management Group/FedSources, eight years in the Navy, and as a principal at Reznick Government, a business advisory firm now known as CohnReznick Government. While in the Navy, Joe completed tours of duty onboard the USS Independence (CV62), at Navy Personnel Command, and as an instructor at Villanova University, where he earned an MBA and a B.S. in mechanical engineering and was an NROTC scholarship student.

All net proceeds from the Tournament will once again support the Coalition’s endowment for a qualified veteran concentrating their studies in the field of US Government procurement and pursuing the JD/LLM degree or the interdisciplinary Masters degree at The George Washington University. Last year, through the generosity and kindness of the Federal procurement community, the scholarship fund named its first ever recipient, Tom Roltsch, who served four deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq with the Army Reserve. The Coalition’s scholarship has supported Tom Roltsch in his procurement policy graduate studies at the George Washington University.

Help us honor Joe’s legacy by participating in and/or sponsoring this tournament. The tournament style is a four-player scramble with a maximum of 144 golfers. There are several ways to sponsor the tournament, including lunch and reception sponsors, beverage cart sponsors, hole sponsors, and many more with all budgets in mind. For additional details on sponsorship opportunities and to register, visit our website or contact Matt Cahill at mcahill@thecgp.org or 202-315-1054.

We want to thank this year’s Co-Title Sponsors, CohnReznick Government and Integrity Consulting/Mazars, in addition to all the other companies who have already committed to being a sponsor! We look forward to your continued support, and to a day filled with competition, camaraderie, and remembrance.
