Join the “Summer Lunch and Learn Series” of Webinars

With summer here, we recognize that all of us still operate in a world of social distancing and remote work.  As you continue to innovate and carry on service to Federal customers, the Coalition continues its virtual support to you. To this end, we are implementing additional virtual training sessions via our weekly Summer Lunch and Learn Series of webinars!

The first webinar, Prepping for Billions – 2020 Fiscal Year Fourth Quarter Opportunities, will take place on June 10th. This webinar will feature Brian Friel, Partner at BD Squared, and Cameron Leuthy, Senior Analyst with Bloomberg Government. The fiscal fourth quarter is always the busiest time of year for federal contractors, with billions of dollars in orders and contracts awarded from July to September. With the pandemic reshaping how, what, and when acquisitions occur, and with contract vehicles, from the consolidation of the GSA schedules to the ceiling breach on STARS II to the on-ramps for OASIS, potentially in flux, Brian and Cameron will break down actions every contractor should consider as they prepare to bid on 2020 fiscal fourth quarter opportunities.

The following week, on June 18, we are hosting Jason Workmaster of Miller & Chevalier who will be presenting on Audits, Oversight and Enforcement. In the aftermath of the Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we can expect an increased focus on audits, oversight, and enforcement across the board. Jason will discuss best practices in preparing for, and responding to, government oversight, with a focus on how to ensure compliance and reduce the risk of adverse findings and time-consuming litigation.

To round out the month, on June 25, we are pleased to welcome Sheila Armstrong and Katelyn Hilferty from Morgan Lewis LLP and Courtney Black and Michael Tomaselli from Ernst & Young LLP. They will be presenting on Trends in Domestic Preference Regulations and EnforcementDomestic preference may not be a new concept to those familiar with procuring goods and services in support of Federal contracts. The current administration, however, combined with the regulatory and operational impacts of COVID-19, has created a fluid procurement environment that can be challenging for even the most experienced contractors.

We plan to continue these weekly webinars through July and into August. Please find the topics and dates below and let us know if there is a topic that you want to recommend for a future training! Registration is open for all June webinars, and it will be open for July webinars in the near future.

Please continue to stay safe and healthy and know that the Coalition is here to support you!
