The Coalition’s Events to Date and in the Fall

July 24, 2020

While 2020 has certainly been a challenging year in many respects, the Coalition has continued to bring together public and private sector procurement leaders to work towards the mutual goal of common-sense acquisition. In fact, despite not holding any in-person events since March, the Coalition has provided more content to our members than ever before by leveraging our technology platforms to deliver extensive webinar presentations (24), committee meetings (25), and weekly newsletters (2 per week).  I specifically want to highlight our past webinars and alert you to upcoming events, including our Fall Training Conference and Fall Healthcare Procurement Training Conference, which will take place after the election and are going virtual.

Our success, however, could not be achieved without you, and for this reason, we acknowledge and thank you for your participation.  Because we stand ready to serve you during this challenging time, we ask that you reach out to us with any ideas or suggestions for future events and training that would meet your needs.

Upcoming Events

As for events on the horizon, please join us for our final webinar in July (7/30) on the Cybersecurity Landscape as we host Townsend Bourne and Nikole Snyder from Sheppard Mullin.  They will be discussing recent developments as well as key regulations and standards relating to data security and management of the federal supply chain.  Keep an eye out, as we expect to add several more webinars in August in addition to a currently planned CIO-SP4 webinar with Baker Tilly on the calendar for August 27th.

This Fall

You may recall that the Coalition traditionally holds back-to-back live conferences in the Fall.  In light of the current health emergency, we have decided to move forward with our two annual Fall Conferences in a virtual environment.  Please mark your calendars for our Fall Healthcare Procurement Training Conference on November 17th (healthcare members) and our Fall Training Conference on November 18th (all members).  We will also be recognizing acquisition excellence and innovation again this year through our annual Excellence in Partnership (EIP) Awards!  Please note that our conference dates differ from our originally announced October dates when we had planned for in-person events.  With having newfound flexibility of not being bound to hotel space, we are choosing to move these important conferences and the EIPs after the election to maximize the relevance and information provided to you.

We will be sharing more information on these events in the near future, and we look forward to the opportunity to provide timely acquisition related information from government and industry in an updated format that will allow safe participation nationwide.  The Coalition exists to serve its members, and we hope the foregoing evidences our efforts to fulfill that mission.
