Time Remains to Submit an EIP Award Nomination!

As the midpoint of February approaches, the Coalition would like to remind our members that they still have the opportunity to submit an Excellence in Partnership (EIP) Award nomination before the newly extended February 28 deadline. The support of our members is crucial to the continued success of the EIP Awards, and this year, we urge you to consider nominating individuals and organizations who worked diligently to support the Federal Government’s COVID-19 response efforts from a procurement perspective.

We are accepting nominations for the following four categories:

  • Lifetime Acquisition Excellence Award – Presented to an individual in the contracting community for demonstrating a life-long commitment to advancing “common sense in Government procurement.”
  • Acquisition Excellence Award – Presented to an organization or individual for outstanding performance over the year in meeting the mission-critical needs of a Federal agency through a government contract.
  • Sustainability/Green Excellence Award – Presented to a Government agency or contractor that has made outstanding sustainability contributions to protect the environment.
  • Advocating for Veterans Award – Presented to an organization or individual for promoting and executing a successful program that supports veterans.

As you know, the EIP Awards recognize those in the contracting community from both Government and industry who make significant contributions to the advancement of the acquisition system. We are thrilled with the multitude of exemplary nominations to date, and we anticipate collecting more in the coming weeks. These 2021 EIP Awardees will be named in April and honored at our annual Spring Training Conference, likely taking place in early June.

Regarding this year’s Spring Training Conference, the Coalition is exploring the possibility of a hybrid event that would allow for both virtual and in-person participation. Additionally, in March, we will be announcing the recipient of The Common Sense in Government Procurement Award, the Coalition’s highest distinction, which is given to an individual whose lifetime of professional experience has manifested consistent, exceptional “common sense” contributions to improving the operation and management of the Federal acquisition process.

We look forward to receiving and reviewing your nominations for the 2021 EIP Awards. To submit an EIP award nomination today, click here. If you have any questions regarding the EIP Awards or the nomination process, please contact Michael Hanafin at mhanafin@thecgp.org.
