Beyond the Green: Thank You to Our Tournament Sponsors!

One of the Coalition’s favorite events of the year, the Joseph P. Caggiano Memorial Golf Tournament, is only three weeks away! This wonderful outing, taking place on August 21 at the Whiskey Creek Golf Club in Ijamsville, Maryland, serves as more than just a day on the green. It allows us the opportunity to celebrate community, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to supporting our nation’s veterans in honor of our dear friend Joe Caggiano’s legacy.

As we prepare for the much-anticipated Joseph P. Caggiano Memorial Golf Tournament, the Coalition would like to take a moment to extend our deepest gratitude for this year’s tournament sponsors. Without their generosity and support, this event would not be possible. The impact of our sponsors extends beyond the tournament itself, allowing us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans and wounded service members. Thanks to the remarkable contributions of our sponsors and participants, we are able to once again raise funds for two important causes this year that empower veterans in both their road to recovery and educational pursuits.

For the second consecutive year, proceeds support Paws for Purple Hearts (PPH), a unique organization that assists veterans facing mobility challenges and trauma-related conditions through the use of service dogs and its Canine Assisted Warrior Therapy program. Recently, we had the opportunity to interview PPH to learn more about its founding, goals, challenges, and impacts on the lives of veterans. To date, PPH has supported over 10,000 veterans and wounded service members across the country.

In addition, a portion of the proceeds will support The Coalition for Government Procurement Endowed Scholarship Fund in partnership with The George Washington University Law School, which is awarded to a qualified veteran concentrating their studies in U.S. government procurement. This year’s deserving recipient is Kristin Wolford Gillooly, a Lieutenant for the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. Kristin, who will join us to tee off the tournament, is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Government Procurement and Cybersecurity Law at the GW Law School.

We are very proud to support these two wonderful causes and cannot thank our sponsors enough for the integral role they play in making the Joseph P. Caggiano Memorial Tournament a positive force by providing veterans with essential support and opportunities to thrive long after the tournament concludes.

The Coalition extends a heartfelt thanks to the following sponsors of the 11th Annual Joseph P. Caggiano Memorial Golf Tournament:
