On behalf of The Coalition for Common Sense in Government Procurement (the Coalition), we extend our deepest gratitude to all our members, sponsors, and participants who joined us on Wednesday for the 12th Annual Joseph P. Caggiano Memorial Golf Tournament. Thanks to you, this year’s event was not only a beautiful day on the course but also a tremendous success in giving back to two wonderful causes. It was especially meaningful to be joined once again by members of the Caggiano family, whose support and presence embody the tournament’s mission to support veterans and honor Joe’s legacy.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s tournament raised an incredible $12,000 for Paws for Purple Hearts, surpassing our $35,000 fundraising goal and fully funding a new service dog. Even more special, we are deeply honored that Paws for Purple Hearts named the service dog “Waldron” after Coalition President Roger Waldron. We were fortunate to have members of the Paws for Purple Hearts team, including service dog Tomberg, join us at the tournament and even give a special demonstration on how service dogs assist veterans facing mobility challenges and trauma-related conditions.

In addition, through your generosity, we raised $6,000 for The George Washington University (GW) Government Procurement Law Program through the Coalition Endowed Scholarship Fund. This scholarship provides crucial support to veterans pursuing educational opportunities at the GW Law School in government procurement. We were honored to be joined by Nash & Cibinic Professor Steve Schooner, a longtime supporter of the scholarship and its mission.
This success would not have been possible without the incredible support of our sponsors, whose generosity fuels both the tournament and its charitable impact. Your commitment ensures that we can continue this meaningful tradition while making a real difference for veterans. Thank you to the following sponsors:

We also want to recognize the many great performances on the course, which made for a fun and competitive day of golf. We also celebrate a historic first for the tournament: Congratulations to Elisa Rhee with GDIT for scoring the very first hole-in-one in tournament history, an incredible accomplishment that we will all remember!

Each year, this event reminds us of the power of community as we come together to honor Joe’s legacy while supporting veterans through education and service. The Joseph P. Caggiano Memorial Golf Tournament stands as a testament to the generosity and dedication of our members, sponsors, and participants. Thank you once again for your participation and support. We look forward to welcoming you back next year for another wonderful day on the course in support of veterans!
