As we approach the holiday season and look ahead to the new year, many of us are taking time to reflect, recharge, and think about what we hope the year ahead will bring. It’s a season of planning, gathering with colleagues and loved ones, and even building a “wish list” of the opportunities we want to pursue in 2026. For federal contractors, three items deserve a spot right at the top: joining us for our Annual Holiday Reception, attending the Small Business Summit, and participating in the Coalition’s 2025-2026 Winter Training Conference: The Revolutionary Federal Market – now just two months away!
Before we turn the page to 2026, we hope you’ll join us on December 10 at the Tower Club in Tysons Corner for a complimentary holiday gathering to celebrate the past year and toast to the one ahead. It’s the perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues, enjoy food and beverages, and reflect on the work our members have accomplished together. We extend our sincere thanks to SAIC for generously sponsoring this year’s reception. Registration is complimentary, but required for all members. Register here.
The new year begins with the rescheduled Small Business Summit on January 13, hosted at GDIT in Falls Church, Virginia. This half-day program will feature sessions led by government and industry experts, offering practical guidance on small business policy developments, strategies for building strong business relationships, and best practices for navigating the small business ecosystem. The Summit also provides valuable networking opportunities for contractors, partners, and acquisition professionals. We extend our sincere thanks to GDIT for hosting this important engagement. Register here.
And as you think about the opportunities you want to embrace in the year ahead, you won’t want to miss the Coalition’s 2025-2026 Winter Training Conference, taking place January 14–15, 2026, at the Fairview Park Marriott in Falls Church, VA. The federal procurement system is in the midst of a period of significant change. With the second year of the Administration, evolving budget priorities, and major acquisition reforms underway, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for agencies and industry partners alike. The conference will bring together government leaders and policy experts to unpack what’s ahead and what contractors should be preparing for now.
Attendees will gain insights into the direction of the 2026 federal marketplace and the Administration’s early priorities, along with an overview of the key provisions in the FY26 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). A major focus will be the Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Overhaul (RFO), including how the rulemaking is progressing, the changes that may have the greatest impact on contractors, and what organizations should be doing now to prepare. The conference will also explore broader policy and regulatory developments shaping the “Revolutionary Federal Market,” including procurement consolidation, digital transformation and the expanding role of artificial intelligence in acquisition, the Government-Wide Acquisition Contract market, supply chain security, commercial item acquisition, category management, and other emerging trends across the procurement landscape.
With so much transformation underway, the Winter Training Conference offers an invaluable opportunity to start 2026 with clarity, insight, and direction.
