Small Business Policy Year in Review, Nov. 14
The Coalition for Government Procurement is excited to host a Small Business Policy Year in Review on November 14 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (ET)! Mark your calendars for this three-hour forum, which features remarks and insights from government and industry subject matter experts.
The event will kick off with a Keynote Address from Laura Stanton, GSA FAS Assistant Commissioner of the Office of Information Technology Category. Following Ms. Stanton’s Keynote Address, there will be two panels exploring policies, regulations, and programs that impacted small businesses in 2023, and will continue to do so in the coming years.
The first panel, “Small Business Policy and Regulatory Year in Review,” will give a recap of the important small business policy developments of 2023, and equip attendees with key information and considerations moving forward. The panel features Sam Le, Director of Policy Planning and Liaison at the Small Business Administration; Ken Dodds, Contracting Expert at Live Oak Bank; David Black, Partner at Holland & Knight; and Jon Williams, Partner at PilieroMazza.
The second panel, “Best Practices & Subcontracting Considerations for Small Large Businesses, features guest speakers Diane Dempsey, Director of Small Business Programs at BAE Systems; Wayne Pizer, Vice President of Small Business Programs at CACI; Kitty Klaus, Vice President of Contracts at Easy Dynamics Corp; and Mike McHugh, Senior Director, GWAC Center at ASRC Federal. During the panel, they will brief attendees from both small and large businesses on best practices in subcontracting and what makes for a successful, sound business relationship.
The meeting will take place at CACI (12021 Sunset Hills Road, Reston, VA 20190), with virtual attendance also available. If you have any questions, please contact Matt Cahill at mcahill@thecgp.org.
