Dear Coalition Members,
As you know, the first quarter of 2016 has been filled with Coalition committee meetings, training events, and webinars. It has been a very full calendar—which is why I wanted to again share with you information about a very special, unique opportunity to meet with, at one time and place, key acquisition and program leadership from the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (the VA)!
On March 10 at McDermott Will and Emery, the Coalition will be hosting our annual Healthcare Forum. This event is a great opportunity to engage in a Myth-Busters dialogue with DHA and VA acquisition leaders on the next steps/transitions in federal healthcare procurement! This event is a must attend for your contracting management team, business development executives and product line managers! Space is limited so we encourage you and your team to register as soon as possible!
The half-day Healthcare Forum will include presentations from the DHA Component Acquisition Executive and the Chief of DHA Pharmacy Operations. In addition, attendees will hear directly from VA’s Strategic Acquisition Center management team on, among other items, the outlook and vision for the Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor (MSPV) program. The highlight will be the keynote address from Gregory Giddens, Principal Executive Director, Office of Acquisition, Logistics and Construction, Department of Veterans Affairs! In addition to the presentations the agenda will include plenty of time for questions and answers as well as networking among the attendees.

The morning will kick off with registration and a networking breakfast at 7:30am followed by a 2016 Legislative Outlook by James P. “Jim” Moran, former Congressman for Virginia’s 8th Congressional District and now a Senior Legislative Advisor with McDermott Will & Emery.
